Where have all the carpets gone?
I was thinking the other day of how every home I went in to use to have carpets from wall to wall, and it was even that way when I was a kid. Heck, growing up I even had carpet in my bathroom. Now a days though it is getting harder and harder to get people to buy carpets for anything, have you ever wandered why that is?
Where have all the carpets gone?
The biggest reason why your seeing less and less carpets these days getting installed, and this is something you should keep in mind if your planning on buying carpet for a room in your house is because of how unsanitary they are. Carpets trap everything in them and in some cases (well I think most cases) there are some nice little critters that actually live in them.
If you have kids that have allergies or breathing problems like asthma carpet is the last thing your going to want to have in your home and with recent studies proving this to be a major cause of certain reactions, that is why carpets have become a design choice of the past.

We removed all of the rugs in our home and let me say this, the house is so nice and clean. I will never put wall to wall carpet in again.
