Corded or Cordless?
Ah, the age old question of corded verses cordless power tools. Which do you prefer?
Corded
Power tools that have a cord on them are clearly more stronger then there cordless counter parts. They have the RPM’s to do darn near everything you could ever want them to do with out giving up or dieing and are great for getting job’s done faster. But the cord is often in the way, and a prime example of this is me running over the cord to my Lawnmower last summer. What a pain in the back side cords can be as I was reminded of this theory yet again. And yes I think of my lawnmower as a tool, don’t you?
Cordless
Go anywhere you could ever want and have a tool ready to go. I love the cordless relm and what is available to you in a cordless model is darn near everything these days, and yes you can even get a cordless lawnmower which I will be doing as soon as the snow is gone here. The problem we face as tool users is sometimes we look and treat our cordless tools the same as a corded one, and end up burning our best tools out. We try and get the jobs done faster and faster and with that mind set there has been a whole new spawn of some very big cordless tools put on the market. 24 volt and 36 volt cordless drills and saws can be seen everywhere and in most garages and are very quickly proving to be better then there corded buddies.
What do you like to work with, or does it even matter to you? Let me know by leaving a comment.
