Milwaukee Power Tools - The Hatchet
It is no secret that men love tools, and a lot of women do as well, but do you know which tools are the best, which ones last the longest, and what they cost? There are so many different manufactures of tools it is very hard to make the right purchase choices when the time comes we need to buy one. I know this to be true because I have spent thousands of dollars over the years buying tools that did not stand up to the test of time simply because I didn’t know what I was buying. Well after 15 years of being in the trades I now know what tools work and which ones don’t. Myself I hate wasting money on a tool that don’t last so I just won’t buy the cheap stuff anymore unless I am doing a project and only need the tool once.
Most home owners buy the cheaper tools because they don’t think it will make a difference to them what they have. This is the wrong way to look at buying tools. I have been using “Milwaukee power tools” for as long as I can remember and today’s tool review is based on my favorite tool they make, “The Hatchet“. The Hatchet is a reciprocating saw or “Sawzall” that does everything you could ever want and more and is built to last. I have had mine now for over 5 years and it has never skipped a beat, never broke down, and works like the day it was new, and trust me on that as I am not one to baby tools. I use them for what they were designed to do, and use them is just what I do.

Like I said in the video, this is one of the more diverse saw’s you can and will ever buy. Built to last and preform like no other saw can. Milwaukee sure hit the nail on the head with this tool. It has been the pride and joy of my tool collection for years and as you could see in the video, I have used it lots simply because there is nothing it can’t do!

As you can see there are lots of features that make this tool a must have for any professional and do it yourself home renovator. One feature I really like is the keyless chuck which makes changing blades effortless. As far as cost goes!
In the trades it is not secret that buying tool kits saves you money on each tool. Milwaukee has a bunch of great kits available and the prices are vary on each kit depending what is in it. If you were to buy this tool all on its own you would be looking to spend between $400.00 to $500.00 depending on where you live. Buying the Hatchet as part of a kit drops the cost a lot. I’m from Milwaukee so I loved this post. So nice to see Milwaukee (even if it’s the company and not the city) mentioned in sometimes besides Laverne and Shirley!
