Welcome to Tool Belt Tips
“Tool Belt Tips”
Well seeings how this is my very first post on “Tool Belt Tips” I want to take a second to thank B5media for allowing me to host this blog for them. I am very great full for this opportunity and am looking forward to really getting this blog rolling and meeting a lot of great people. I have prepared a small video regarding what you are going to get from Tool Belt Tips over time and what you can look forward to learning as well.
One thing you will see on a most days here are video’s where I will show you different tips on home repairs as well as a written post. The reason why I will be using both methods of posting on Tool Belt Tips is because some people prefer to read and some like watching a video. Myself I love video, what it allows me to do is to let my personality come out a lot more. This lets me connect with you, my readers a lot better.
So with that here is my first video to start you off where I just talk about what you will come to see on a daily basis here on Tool Belt Tips.

Video recap
Like I said in the video, there is a lot of great information on the net where the “do it yourself” home renovators can learn how to do most everything at home from a simple toilet repair to re-drywalling a room. How I am going to make Tool Belt Tips stand out from the rest is by covering a lot of the same things, and also by covering a lot of issues that no one seems to be bothered to cover. Here are a few examples of what you will come to see each and every week here on Tool Belt Tips.
- Plumbing repairs
- Electrical repairs
- How to hire a contractor (you just may need to from time to time)
- Patching drywall and painting
- Interior Designing
- Tool reviews (most will be completed via video so you can see how the tool works)
- Product reviews (material used around the home that you may not know about, that will save you time and money)
- Safety (why most other sites do not cover this topic blows my mind away, so I will proudly give you safety tips and lessons)
- Asking Collin (this is where you can fire me off what ever home repair question you may have and I will answer it for you by using my contact page simply called “Ask Collin”)
- Preventive maintenance (ok lets face it, why fix it if you don’t need to)
As time goes on we will be covering more and more information, as there really is to much to cover in just one post. One thing I am going to do is if I see that our community is asking questions pertaining more to one topic I will try and focus on that topic for awhile and vis versa.
The Pro’s of having a “do it yourself” blog over the standard website.
Lets face it, other “do it yourself” websites are missing one common thing. The ability for you to ask questions, get answers and interact with the professionals on that website as well as interact with the community. There is no personal touch, and no user experience to be had. With a blog, you can interact as much as you want or just take the information and leave. What you can get out of this blog is as much as you are willing to put into it. By leaving comments after any posts you will give me a chance to get to know you better and what your needs are as well as you getting a chance to get to know me. The biggest part of any blog is the comment section right after each post where you can interact with everyone and start conversations.
There is really only one goal I have for this blog, and that is to help everyone turn their house into a home safely and professionally.
